Chouchenn — Breton mead, crafted in Lannion according to a traditional recipe

Chouchenn is the legendary traditional drink of the Celts — deeply rooted in Breton heritage. At Warenghem, we craft it according to an unchanged recipe from decades past: water from our granite spring, carefully selected honey and yeasts for fermentation. Nothing else. It is this simplicity that makes it an authentic product — very little stands between you and the Breton terroir. Our flagship Chouchenn, the Melmor, means “honey of the sea” in Breton. It is the result of a blend of honeys expertly selected for their aromatic qualities, obtained after a slow fermentation. Lightly sparkling, smooth and floral, it is enjoyed chilled as an aperitif — or slipped into a cocktail to give it an unexpected Breton dimension.
